Rochford, Essex, UK 4th January 2018: Essex County Fire and Rescue Service attended a Fire at the former Kings Head Public House, Rochford this evening. Pumps from Rochford, Hawkwell, Leigh & Southend attended. About 18:30 it was reported that the whole of the first floor had been lost! An aerial host from Southend was deployed as the fire spread into the roof of the building. The Square and Back Lane in Rochford were closed whilst Firefighters dealt with the incident. The building has been empty for sometime and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus forced entry to the building to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
